Sales for sale Manley 42114 Camshaft Lock Plate Kit Bargain Manley 42114 Camshaft Lock Plate Kit Previous reviews had me needlessly concerned. How could a hole be misthreaded by an automated tapping machine?First thing I did on receipt was run 10/32 rack screws fully in-and-out of all 18 holes. They were all straight and perfect, as expected. Obviously this is for audio / studio gear so make sure you're using the 10/32 standard and not the 12/24 you find on computer networking gear, not that those would fit anyway. The steel is thick and nicely power-coated. Obviously they're cut down from larger stock so there are cut lines. But there were no burrs. The edges have been reasonably polished down at the cuts. A previous reviewer may have an unreasonable expectation for something that will be *hidden behind your rack gear.* (Although they may be reviewing a product from a different seller.) The ones from seller: "Reliable Hardware" are solid.I ordered 3U rack rails, expecting them to be properly finished by having nice edges and powdercoated all over. What I got are 3U pieces roughly cut from longer stock. Not only are the ends bare steel, they have INCREDIBLY SHARP burrs! Calling the edges "scalpel-like" would not be an exaggeration. They did put "Caution Sharp Objects" labels on the bags these came in, thank god, otherwise I'd probably be in the ER right now. But a label does not make up for not finished the product. If you're going to sell these as 3U rails, you need to cut them, then file/chamfer the ends until they are safe, then powder coat them and label the slots last. There is no other correct way.Basically, you can't use your regular rack screws. The only screws that fit are the screws sold separately by the same brand. On the picture you'll see the screw inside the hole is the same as above, they come from a pack sold by that brand that I bought separately. On the left above, you will see a regular rack screw. They don't fit at all.It is also completely unfinished. This come from a very long set they have and they have marks every rack size and they basically cut it with machine scissors without bothering with sanding the edges for more than a second. It does the job though so not sure what people are expecting. These are an excellent value for the money. I’ve purchased different sizes from this brand/company before, and the product quality has always been top notch. No complaints whatsoever. I think I’ll always be a return customer and loyal to this brand.30 year audio pro here. These threads are not tapped correctly.Bummer.The brackets are very sturdy, but sharp. they were obviously a larger piece cut down to the length purchased. The cut ends are very sharp and will need to be filed down. There is also no powder coating on the ends where they were cut. Had I known this, instead of purchasing several shorter sets, I would have purchased one long set and cut them my self and saved some money.Ordered 3x units and out of each order the hole I want to put a screw is ALWAYS the one that is poorly tapped. I have just gotten lucky that re-ordering which rail is on what side had a hole that was not poorly tapped. I dont own a tap/die set or I'd not care but you shouldnt need to. I have rack-screws which at least 6 were ruined by these rails. Although the brackets were substantial, the hardware kit didn’t include any nylon washers as was described in the product description.
